I found this first app called Note Works, I feel it falls under the catagory of modification, because it helps students learn how to read staff music and I feel it falls under the Instructing catogory also, it is an IOS app. I also felt for the SMAR it was an Augmentation a bit just because it helps students improve on themselves a bit and their ability to read music.This is a Music app called Playground, I found it very interesting in the style that it worked in as moving your finger around and tapping on unlabeled blocks and cubes to make sounds that can be used to make some sort of electric beat. This was defiantly under the creating category, in the fact it didn't really teach you anything but its only purpose was to make music and beats for your self pleasure. I felt this was a bit of a Redefinition when it comes to this app as it allows you to take something and make it more into your own with just a bunch of random squares and a screen to touch, this app is also on IOS.This is a DJ app that allows you to mix and create new jams for party's and just for yourself also. I felt this app fell under the redesign category and it seems very open to creation and taking already made music and just building on it or making it into something else. I also felt this app was a bit of an augmentation and that its improving on what already exists as music, this is an app for IOS.

Assessment helps teachers measure directly what students have learned. Their are about 2 different types of assessment, these being TPACK model that can be considered part of a pedagogical knowledge. This is understand the point of assessment. The mesurement could be in some form of a test format on paper for example. The other form of assessment can be PCK this is a unique kind of assessment, for example when a teacher needs to adapt their assesment to fit more of the students needs.
Some technology that we have used plenty of over the years to assist students in the study of music, these technology consist of tuners for one example to help students with developing a strong sense of pitch. Another example of a technology used for students is the metronome, this helps students develop good feelings for beat and rhythmic accuracy. An idea of some tools that also might help students would be word processors or google docs to help organize and assist the students through their learning curriculum. Creating a final project for my students, I feel that the best way I might asses them is have one large project and every time they would have to do a assessment, their assessment would be on a small part of the large project, that way they might be able to understand and see through the course how their designs and ideas fit together as a whole to develop into one big picture.The over all picture would be to develop multiple ideas and help combine them into one assignment and present their idea to the class or in public in the future to educate their fellow classmates and assist the rest of the class in understanding the material. I feel like this assessment strategy would allow me to almost have the students teach the other students and it would allow them to review the information with other students. Also you must know the information to teach it, so that would be a good indicator to me , if they could teach it to the other students then they must know it, my students in this way would learn leadership as well as a sense of self confidence as well helping them develop more then just the musical aspect of their lives, which I believe is also just as important. |
